Where big fish live
in wild water

The Rio Manso carves through temperate rainforest and open steppe at the foot of the Andes — one of the last places on earth where wild brown and rainbow trout reach true trophy size in completely natural conditions.

Our season runs November through April — perfect timing for North American anglers looking to extend their season south of the equator.

  • ✓ Wild brown, brookie & rainbow trout in completely natural conditions
  • ✓ Dry fly, nymph & streamer — drift, wade, or sight-cast
  • ✓ Expert bilingual guides for all levels
  • ✓ The Dragonfly Hatch (Dec–Jan): trophy fish rising to dry flies

A Rare Natural Phenomenon

The Dragonfly Hatch

Each year, aquatic insects emerge from Patagonia's rivers in a concentrated burst that triggers explosive surface-feeding activity among trophy trout. It is one of fly fishing's most spectacular natural events — a brief, powerful window when the rivers come alive with rising fish of extraordinary size.

20–30″
Average Trophy Size

Our venues make it so that you can fish the dragonfly hatch for most of the season.
